Fujitsu MB86298 Ruby

Designed by Fujitsu in response to the demands of autmotive industry, and an excellent choice for aeropace & defense manufactures, the Ruby is a discrete GPU that can process up to 4 input video streams while simultaneously outputting video to 4 displays. The input videos can be modified, synthesized together, and put on 3D graphics surfaces within a single screen. In addition, the controller’s industry-leading capabilities enable the display of 8 layers and inter-layer blends. Each information stream is processed separately so users can selectively change the information screen to be displayed as well synthesize the information streams together smoothly and display them.

ALT Ruby Driver Features

  • OpenGL ES 2.0 Programmable Shader Support
  • Based on ALT’s new OpenGL ES 2.0 driver framework
  • Full scene anti-aliasing (4x4)
  • High-performance copy and blend blit operations
  • Supports two display controllers, dual display signal output and combined output for dual view displays

Fujitsu MB86298 Ruby Features

  • Programmable unified shader architecture: 16 parallel FPU processing units in universal shader array + Shading Language compiler
  • CMOS 90nm technology
  • New 2D/3D graphics engine with general purpose, programmable Unified Shader including support for OpenGL shading language with shading language compiler (SL Compiler)
