We use our partnerships to ensure our products are optimized for and can be seamlessly integrated with leading platforms and technologies. Our partners provide us with early access to their technical specifications, which enables us to begin supporting their products before they are commercially released. These strategic alliances enable us to create leading edge high-performance COTS device software that can be deployed out of the box or customized to suit particular requirements.
Strategic Alliances
ALT Software is a 3rd party supplier of embedded and safety critical OpenGL graphics display drivers for several of the most popular AMD Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) used in embedded computing systems, including the high-performance ATI Radeon E4690 (M96), the Mobility Radeon X1400 (M54), and the Mobility Radeon 9000 (M9). ALT’s drivers support AMD GPUs on a variety of system configurations, embedded operating systems and CPUs. Used in a wide variety of aerospace, defence, medical and industrial environments, many of our ATI Radeon drivers are certifiable to the FAA mandated DO-178B guideline for safety critical systems in aircraft and are currently deployed in the cockpit display systems of the world’s most advanced commercial and military aircraft.
Channel One Group is a global company that specializes in identifying, funding, and managing niche market and volume distribution programs in the high-end technology market. Channel One and ALT Software together provide end-to-end DO-178B certifiable graphics hardware and software solutions for manufacturers of high reliability embedded computing systems who require volume purchasing options and extended product availability not offered by the original product manufacturers.
DDC-I is a global solutions provider for embedded software developers. DDC-I solutions include Deos™, a field-proven time & space partitioned real-time operating system (RTOS) that has been certified to DO-178B Level A. ALT Software’s DO-178B Level A certifiable graphics display drivers for avionics applications support the Deos RTOS on a variety of hardware platforms. Deos offers ALT customers several unique patented architectural advantages that deliver high performance, low risk, simple to certify, and affordable solutions.
ALT Software has a long history supporting Freecale’s PowerPC and i.MX platforms in aerospace and defence electronics, industrial controls, automotive telematics and navigation systems and instrument clusters, as well as in medical and consumer devices. Our OpenGL display drivers are used in many PowerPC-based products and support a variety of processors ranging from the MPC 5121 and i.MX family to the more powerful multi-core processors.
ALT Software has been selected by Fujitsu as a 3rd party supplier of embedded and safety critical OpenGL graphics display drivers for several of their graphics chips. Used in a variety of automotive, industrial and defence applications, ALT provides embedded OpenGL display drivers for the Fujitsu Coral P/PA, Carmine, and Ruby graphics display controllers.
ALT Software's OpenGL display driver products support both the INTEGRITY and INTEGRITY-178B RTOS and include the artifacts required for certification up to DO-178B Level A. Our drivers are currently deployed with the Green Hills RTOS in many embedded computing environments, including the avionics displays of a variety of aircraft.
Imagination Technologies Group
Imagination Technologies and ALT Software work together to offer product manufacturers graphics and video drivers as well as software development services. Our products support most real time operating systems and are optimized for their target platforms to take full advantage of the capabilities of the PowerVR MBX and SGX Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) IP cores.
Intel(R) Embedded and Communications Alliance
ALT Software has a long-term strategic relationship with Intel’s Embedded and Communications division. We enable and optimize x86-based graphics systems for various RTOS and embedded platforms across a broad range of markets. ALT’s DO-178B certifiable solutions are used in x86-based platforms currently deployed in a number of aircraft.
Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner
ALT Software has been providing embedded device software solutions for Windows Embedded operating systems since the advent of Windows CE. ALT supports Microsoft Windows with all our products and services, providing graphics drivers and custom embedded software solutions as well as software porting from one platform or version to another.
Intimate with the OMAP System-on-Chip (SoC) product families, ALT Software provides graphics drivers, engineering services and technical support to the TI community. We provide device software and development services for a variety of hardware configurations and operating systems. Our services include device-specific optimizations that fully leverage the functionality of the OMAP SoC for optimal performance in the target system.
ALT’s OpenGL, Open GL ES, OpenGL SC, OpenVG, and WindML graphics libraries are deployed in the field on many Wind River operating systems including VxWorks 653, Wind River Linux, and all versions of VxWorks. ALT provides DO-178B Level A certifiable graphics display drivers for VxWorks 653 on a variety of hardware configurations as well as software development services for manufacturers of embedded systems that use Wind River products.
