About ALT

ALT Software is the world’s leading supplier of software solutions that enable 2D and 3D graphics in embedded computing system displays. Our products can be found in devices used in the Aerospace and Defense, Industrial / Medical, Consumer / Mobility, and Automotive sectors. We specialize in enabling the OpenGL ES and OpenGL SC open standard graphics API in embedded devices. Our products support a range of graphics subsystems including discrete GPU, programmable GPU, SoC processors with graphics cores, and software-only graphics rendering.

Founded in 1994, ALT Software has been serving the needs of broad range of device manufacturers with a wide variety of different system requirements for well over a decade. Today, our software solutions can be found in millions of devices worldwide including smartphones, netbook computers, children’s toys, high performance luxury cars, medical imaging tools, airport security systems, naval vessels, and the most advanced commercial and military aircraft in the world.

For the avionics industry, our products include graphics display drivers certifiable to the FAA, EASA, and JAA recognized RTCA DO-178B guideline for mission and safety critical systems in aircraft. Designed from the ground up to operate reliably in the harshest conditions, these high-performance display drivers can be used in any environment where reliable performance is absolutely essential and regulatory approval is required, such as in industrial controls that require IEC 61508 SIL3 certification or FDA Class III life critical medical devices.
